This museum facility, built for the Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation, consists of an entry plaza, interactive exhibits and media, multipurpose classroom/museum, staff offices, restroom facilities, historical restoration and re-use of Ranger鈥檚 residences and a new water tower for fire protection. The landscape consists of drought tolerant plants.

The Vasquez Rocks Interpretive Center was recipient of a 2013 NECA Electrical Excellence Award as well as the 2013 Award of Excellence from the California Parks and Recreation Society.

The facility also received USGBC LEED Platinum certification and incorporates a solar photo voltaic energy system and LED lighting.
